About the Position
Prime Coalition seeks a strategic, visionary, and equity-minded Senior Manager, People & Culture to lead our human resources function. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing human resource practices to support our growing organization and its mission. The Senior Manager will oversee the performance management process, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, employee relations, team training and retreats, and day-to-day HR activities.
Reporting to the Director, Finance & Operations, this position will play a key role in achieving Prime’s strategic plan by navigating organizational evolution, fostering a positive & productive work environment, and empowering our team to embrace change effectively.

People Building 60%
- Develop and oversee Prime’s Human Resources strategy alongside the Director, Finance & Operations, in support of the organization’s growth strategies and values
- Manage the human resources planning, policy development, and compliance for all employees
- Working closely with the Director, Finance & Operations, lead the development and delivery of a recruitment strategy that strives for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and that attracts, develops, and retains talented and engaged employees
- Maintain and provide recommendations on Prime’s onboarding process to ensure new team members have an understanding of, and compliance with, organizational practices, operating systems, and support a culture of Prime's values (care, tenacity, humility)
- In partnership with the Director, Finance & Operations, design and implement the organization’s employee performance process
- Support managers, as needed, on a range of topics including talent management, employee relations, and performance management
- Coach managers when reviewing and updating job descriptions and job postings, including providing guidance and making recommendations utilizing Prime’s job architecture framework.
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that minimize disruption and maximize employee adoption
Culture 30%
- Work with leadership to foster a healthy work environment of employee engagement, learning, and wellness
- In partnership with the Director, Finance & Operations, plan and implement Prime team meetings
- Recommend and coordinate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI-B) training with a focus on a learning plan to build fluency in the intersection of climate, equity, and justice
- Plan the annual all-team retreat to support and foster team-building opportunities across teams
- Regularly and proactively review departmental structure, staffing levels, and procedures to bring clarity to the roles and departmental processes so that responsibilities, goals, and ownership of objectives and key results are defined
- In close coordination with (Director, Finance or Senior Leadership Team), shepherd pathways and opportunities for staff training, staff development, and advancement

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or have demonstrably equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in a Human Resources role
- Previous experience in a Human Resources role consulting supervisors regarding employee relations, or you have experience acting in a supervisory role (in any industry)
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit setting
- Previous experience working with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) provider is a plus
- Proficient in G Suite and Microsoft Office software, internet resources, data management software, and project management software (Asana)
